Standard rates include the driver, vehicle, fuel, road tolls and the driver's accommodation on multi-day tours. They typically do NOT include your accommodation, food, attraction entry fees or driver tip. Always confirm what's included before booking — some operators bundle more, some less.

Almost all hotels and guesthouses in Sri Lanka offer free or discounted driver rooms separate from guest rooms. The driver's accommodation cost is built into the daily rate. You don't need to arrange anything — book your own room and the driver handles theirs.

Tipping is appreciated but not mandatory. Standard guidance: USD $5-10 per day for good service, USD $10-15 per day for excellent service. For multi-day tours, give the full tip on the last day. Drivers also appreciate having their lunch covered when stopping together.

Yes — most drivers in our network offer free itinerary planning before your trip. Send your dates and interests (beaches, wildlife, culture, hiking) and they'll suggest a realistic route with timings. They know which roads have construction, when sites get crowded, and the best local food stops.

Yes, this is one of the biggest advantages over fixed bus tours. As long as you stay within Sri Lanka and don't extend the total days, drivers will happily adjust the route. Major changes (extra days, distant detours) may incur a small additional fee.
